Art-Making for the Entire Family: Toys and Art for Relief
10 am–3 pm
Make a relief print of your very own and then contribute one to the community mural—along with donations of toys and art supplies, it will be sent to children in New Orleans displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Drop off your donations in the Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab.
Performance: Pachamama Band
11 am and 1 pm
The Pachamama Band combines harmonies, rhythms, and instruments from different Latin American musical traditions—from Chilean cueca to Afro-Cuban son to Peruvian huayno—to create its own unique sound.
Family Forum: Solutions Twin Cities presents Art and Activism for Kids
12 noon–1 pm
Troy Gallas and Colin Kloecker, designers and co-creators of Solutions Twin Cities, are catalysts for change-planning events that bring people together to discuss ideas for improving the world. Come share your views at this family-friendly presentation.
