Middle schoolers, this day is for you! Grab your friends and come to the Walker to make art, hang out, visit the galleries, and watch a movie on the Walker Cinema’s big screen—all for free. Belle is the story of a shy high schooler who turns into a viral pop sensation within an online gaming world.

The film screening begins at 1 pm with drop-in art-making offered from noon to 4 pm. Registration is available online and limited walk-up tickets will be available on the event day. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Caregivers and family are welcome to tag along to activities or check out the galleries while they wait. Friends and family of middle schoolers receive free admission, too. Just let staff know you are here for Movie Club.

About the Film

Belle directed by Mamoru Hosoda

Shy high-schooler Suzu transforms into Belle, a viral pop sensation, when she enters the ever-expanding world of a popular virtual-reality game. This epic, emotional, and visually stunning retelling of Beauty and the Beast is filled with first crushes, anime action, and suspenseful self-discovery.
