“A reputation for unfailingly imaginative, provocative avant-garde theater dance … vivid in its own brainy, sometimes unruly way.” —New York Times
For Meg Stuart, the body is a memory palace. Known for her punk spirit and raw physicality, Stuart explores bodily consciousness through collective improvisation. In All the Way Around, the Berlin-based dance star is joined by avant-jazz bassist Doug Weiss and pianist Mariana Carvalho. Together, they create a shifting landscape of shared somatic knowledge. With limited seating, this performance offers audiences an intimate window into the emergence of a new body of memories.

Dancers, movement practitioners, and anyone curious about energetic embodiment are invited to register for Lighting Up the Space, a three-hour workshop with Meg Stuart investigating the energetic undercurrents of movement. Participants will focus on how energy travels through tissues, bones, and space—and how we can listen to the energetic field while dancing, navigating emotional states as energetic forces. Through somatic awareness, improvisation scores, and contact practices, we explore how energy is transferred and transformed within and between bodies, deepening our understanding of movement as energetic exchange.
This class welcomes those who wish to experience movement beyond form, exploring how dance can emerge from the subtle, invisible forces that shape our physical and emotional worlds. Includes a one-hour visit/improvisation response in the exhibition galleries of Christine Sun Kim: All Day All Night.
