Due to unseasonably warm weather, art-inspired snow sculpting is canceled. Guests are still invited to join us indoors for Free Thursday Night programming.

Enjoy all the Walker has to offer, including current exhibitions, drop-in art activities in Art Lab, open access to the library and ongoing films in Bentson Mediatheque. To join a free public tour, gather in the Main Lobby five minutes before 6 pm.

The exhibition Multiple Realities features the original First Snow Festival, a 1970 project by artist Alex Mlynárčik. Emphasizing creative expression and interpretation of the fine arts, the First Snow Festival used the medium of snow to express the poetics of art production with the public and away from commercial interests. Through impermanent materials and playful reappropriation of works of art, a temporary and improvised tradition was born.

No prior registration required.

Copresented with the Great Northern Festival.
