Join Daniel Buren for a conversation with Walker curator Pavel Pyś about the artist’s work in performance, painting, installation, and sculpture. Buren’s two-part piece Voile/Toile – Toile/Voile (Sail/Canvas – Canvas/Sail)—which evokes paintings blown by the wind, racing and moving in formation—will be presented in a sailboat race on Bde Maka Ska (June 23), followed by an installation in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden’s Cowles Pavilion (June 26–October 7). Free tickets for the talk available at the Main Lobby desk from 5:30 pm.

The project is presented by the Walker and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board. The sailboat race is presented in collaboration with the Minneapolis Sailing Center. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a joint project of the Walker and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
