Art Club: Keith Haring Send-off Celebration
Tickets & Info
Join us for Art Club, a standing invitation to explore our unique collection of creative resources and drop-in art-making with Walker educators.
Art Club gives Keith Haring: Art Is for Everybody an enthusiastic send-off with art-making activations across campus. Visit the Cargill Lounge for a nod to Haring’s celebrity clothing designs with embellished patch making, imitate his early subway drawings with graffiti and tagging activities in the Art Lab, and make your own props for the photobooth in the Main Lobby. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
Every week is a chance to experiment with a new medium, idea, or muse. Activity instructions, available in English and Spanish, are designed for ages 4 and up. Materials are provided and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis; supplies are limited. No prior registration is required for Art Club—the more you visit, the more you’ll discover.
Stop in on Thursday nights for Open Stacks and explore books, journals, and artist files with help from expert librarians. Discover a new book, research your favorite artist, or just peruse the vast collection. The Walker’s library is open from 5 to 8 pm (no appointment necessary). The library is located directly behind the Art Lab. The Mediatheque is always free, streaming select films and movies from the Ruben-Bentson collection. Choose your own adventure with our interactive menu, or sit back and enjoy a curated playlist of films.
