Walker Publishing
For over 75 years, the Walker Art Center has explored the cutting edge of publishing across form and content.
This continues today through our print and digital publishing endeavors.
Print publications
Since its founding, the design team at the Walker Art Center has developed and produced a wide range of catalogues, magazines,
and other print publications that explore this expanding medium.
Walker Reader
The Walker Art Center’s experimental digital publishing platform, the Walker Reader, explores new horizons for writing about the arts and culture.
Living Collections Catalogue
The Living Collections Catalogue is an ongoing serial publication that presents unique documents, original interpretations, and rich media resources about select artworks from Walker Collections.
MnArtists Archive
From 2001-2025, Mn Artists was a critical arts writing platform of the Walker Art Center about, by, and for Minnesota’s local artist community. Through publishing and relationship building, the program forged connections between locally-rooted artistic practices and national and international conversations in contemporary art.
