Virtual Tours

The Walker offers live virtual tours for K–12 classrooms to engage with art from the Walker’s galleries and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

What to Expect

Format

Virtual tours are led by Walker educators and take place over Zoom or Google Meet; a link will be shared in advance. Tours run about 30 minutes; please reserve 45 minutes to allow time for setup, introductions, and participation.

Content

Educators use screen share to present high-resolution images and videos of three to four works from the Walker’s galleries or collection. Students are guided through observation and interpretation, with time for questions and brief reflection.

After Your Tour

After your virtual visit, download the post-visit PDF that corresponds to your tour. Each post-visit document includes a lesson plan incorporating artworks related to the theme of your tour, as well as instructions for art-making projects to do with your class.
