What guided tour options are available?

We offer both free and paid guided tour experiences: 

  • Free tours, led by an educator, are included withgallery admission and scheduled at predetermined times.

  • School Tours (K–12 and university), both self-led and educator-led, are available upon request. School tours are free and can be paired with a free art-making lesson in the Walker Art Lab. 

When can I tour the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden?

Tours of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden are available May through October.

How far in advance should I book?

All guided tours must be scheduled 3–4 weeks in advance. Self-led group visits are free for all K12 groups and must be scheduled at least one week in advance.

What can I expect from a guided tour?

Guided tours are led by trained educators and are discussion-based, focusing on current exhibitions. Guided tours are typically 45 to 60 minutes in length and are customizable per patron request.
