Workshops for Teens Offered in Walker on Wheels Mobile Art Lab

Walker on Wheels, the Walker Art Center’s mobile art lab located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, is the site for with two workshops for teens on film and video production. On Mondays and Tuesdays, September 13-28, 4-6 pm, participants ages 15-18 can learn camera technique from local filmmaker Peter Rudrud and then shoot their own work in

Super Celluloid: Super-8 Film Class

. Another workshop will be offered Monday-Friday, October 25-29, 4-6 pm, where teens ages 13-18 can edit together their own collage video work using found footage in

Cut and Paste: Found Video Class

Cut and Paste: Found Video Class

For ages 13-18

Create your own movie by combining footage from instructional videotapes from thrift stores, home movies, and nightly news broadcasts. Get inspired by watching movies made by other filmmakers working in collage, then learn how to use editing software, digital cameras, and more to make your own project.
