Walker Art Center's Raising Creative Kids Programs in May and June Feature Opportunities for Young Art Lovers to Explore the Galleries and Play in Our Backyard
The Walker Art Center offers a variety of activities designed for tots and their adults in May and June. Free First Saturday in May, Glitter ‘n’ Horns, celebrates the art of the everyday with activities inspired by the exhibition The Spectacular of Vernacular (Saturday, May 7) while Play the Field! (Saturday, June 4) marks the opening of Open Field with a “mobile creative outpost” designed by Ben Garthus on the green space adjacent to the Walker. Also in May and June, the Walker presents Arty Pants: Your Tuesday Playdate, the popular program designed to nurture creativity and engage a child’s mind. Arty Pants programs are presented on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and feature art projects, films, gallery activities, and story readings.
