Walker Art Center Presents the 2022 British Arrows Awards

Brilliant British advertisements this way! The Walker’s entertaining holiday tradition showcases a memorable mix of resonant mini-dramas, bold social commentary, and much-loved comedy from the ever-evolving world of British advertising.

This year’s program features ads directed by artists Martine Syms and Bradford Young, cameos of Michael B. Jordan and Grace Jones, plus selections from the Young Arrows category, dedicated to a new generation of emerging talent. Total run time: 73 minutes

Tickets go on sale for Walker members on Wednesday, October 26, at 11 am. General public ticket sales begin on Wednesday, November 2, at 11 am. Online household screenings on sale and available December 7, 2022–January 8, 2023. Limited to North America.

OPENING-NIGHT RECEPTION Friday, December 2, 5:30–7 pm Toast the Arrows with us. Celebrate the opening with British Arrows Awards board co-chairs Clare Donald and Jani Guest. Cash bar featuring a signature British cocktail is available before the opening night screening at 7 pm.

TICKETS In-person screenings are available December 2–31. Tickets are $15 ($12 Walker members, seniors, and students).

Prefer to view at home? The online screening is available December 7, 2022–January 8, 2023. Tickets are $20 ($16 Walker members, seniors, and students). You can view the program on-demand via the Content Page of your online account through January 8, 2023. Limited to North America.

MASKED SCREENINGS ON SUNDAYS To accommodate all our visitors, mask-required screenings are offered on Sundays. Please be advised that by purchasing tickets to a Sunday screening, you will be required to wear a mask while in the Walker Cinema and McGuire Theater. This policy is in effect December 4, 11, and 18.

ABOUT THE BRITISH ARROWS AWARDS The British Arrows in a nonprofit organization started by the creative industry for the creative industry, and every year it celebrates the best in moving image advertising in one of the oldest awards shows in the United Kingdom. The Walker Art Center’s involvement with the British Arrows started in 1986. After a screenings of the British Arrows award-winning ad reels at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Walker’s curator at the time wanted to bring the show to Minneapolis. The involvement between the two organizations became a long-standing collaboration, which continues to proudly run today.
