Walker Art Center Presents Media Workshop on How Web 2.0 Can Enhance Creativity
Web 2.0 is the latest buzz word used to describe a set of emerging Internet-based tools designed to enhance creativity and promote collaboration and information-sharing. Adults and children ages 10–14 are invited to find out more about these resources at the media workshop
My Net: Learning to Navigate Web 2.0
on Tuesday, October 21, 6–8 pm, in the Walker Art Center’s Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab. The workshop is free, but registration is required. Learn how Web 2.0 can be a fun, creative, and educational resource in this workshop, led by Scott Stulen, project director of mnartists.org. Sample a variety of tools such as Blogger, Flickr, and YouTube; learn less familiar ones such as del.icio.us and Twitter; and take away a list of ideas for ways to continue the fun at home. Online safety and privacy issues will be addressed.
Space for the talk and workshop is limited; early registration is encouraged. To register or for more information, call 612.375.7600 or visit walkerart.org/tickets.
