Walker Art Center Offers Studio Classes in January and February for Kids Ages 10-13

In January and February, the Walker Art Center offers studio classes for kids ages 10–13 led by local artists. On Saturdays, January 12 and 19, 10 am–3 pm, local performer and teaching artist Paulino Brener leads Identity Scraps, where students can create a costume and then act out their new persona. On Saturdays, February 9 and 16, 9 am–12 noon, Synthetic Style, led by artist/teacher Carly Stipe, lets students construct fashion accessories using duct tape. Do you ever dream about being someone else? Here’s a chance to create a new you! This class gives students the opportunity to develop a costume from a variety of scrap fabrics and act out their new persona with energy, creativity, and fun! Led by Paulino Brener, a local performer and teaching artist. Don’t forget to pack a lunch.
