Bruise Violet is a band made up of Emily Schoonover (guitar/vocals), Bella Dawson (bass/vocals), and Danielle Cusack (drums/vocals). Since releasing their first EP “Survival of the Prettiest” in 2015, the group has conquered many feats such as First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2015, City Pages’ “Best New Band” of 2017 & “Best Rock Band” of 2018, and a spot on the Walker Art Center’s Rock The Garden 2017. Their pummeling riffs matched with precise three part harmonies delivers a modern twist on feminist punk with a “take no prisoners” attitude.
