Public Tours in February offer a Last Glimpse at the Galleries before Walker Closes to Complete Expansion
Visitors to the Walker Art Center in February will get their last chance to view the galleries before the museum closes for a year on February 15 to complete work on the expansion. Gallery tours will be offered for the exhibitions Past Things and Present: Jasper Johns since 1983, Pop3: Oldenburg, Rosenquist, Warhol, The Squared Circle: Boxing in Contemporary Art, and Selections from the Permanent Collection. There will also be a special “Farewell Tour” at 2 pm on Saturday, February 14, allowing patrons to reminisce and say “goodbye for now.” Thursday gallery tours are free; Saturday and Sunday gallery tours are free with gallery admission. All tours meet in the lobby. For more information about educational programs for all ages, call 612.375.7610 or visit learn.walkerart.org.
