Nimoy Foundation Honors Walker Art Center’s Artist-In-Residence Program in Inaugural Year of Funding
The Los Angeles-based Nimoy Foundation, established in 2003 by Susan Bay Nimoy and actor/director/photographer Leonard Nimoy, has awarded the Walker Art Center’s Artist-in-Residency (AIR) program $40,000 in its inaugural round of funding. The Walker, among 16 cultural institutions receiving Visual Artist Residencies grants, will use the funds to support the work of visual artist and musician Christian Marclay, who has been commissioned to create a multimedia installation using works from the Walker’s extensive Fluxus collection.
