Modern Living + Contemporary Style = Unique Gifts from the Walker Art Center Shop

The Walker Art Center Shop features the latest offerings and ideas in contemporary design with a distinctive inventory of merchandise from around the globe. A valuable resource year-round, but especially during the holiday season, the Shop offers a unique assortment of award-winning contemporary home and office accessories; artisan jewelry; books about multidisciplinary contemporary art, design, and culture; creative toys; and exclusive Walker products. Highlights this season include contemporary Mexican design items in conjunction with the Walker’s centennial exhibition Frida Kahlo, on view October 27–January 20; resources for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) projects; unique home, office, and personal accessories; an eclectic array of jewelry; creative games and toys for children; and a wide selection of books. Many items are Minnesota exclusives. Shop hours will be expanded throughout the holiday season and 24/7 online shopping is available at shop.walkerart.org. All proceeds support the Walker’s artistic and educational programs.

Former New Yorkers, now Mexico City-based designers Tony Moxham and Mauricio Paniagua, use scientific-grade Pyrex glass etched with their own contemporary and organic designs.

By combining the color and transparency of glass and crystal, Mexico City-based Phuze creates inventive work, from unique jewelry to home accessories. Enclosure by Andy Goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworthy is one of the most prominent artists in the world today. Although commissions take him all over the world, his latest series of artworks was created in Northwest England, where he took stone enclosures found across the countryside originally used to shelter and wash sheep and rebuilt them with a spectacular series of paintings incorporating the hoof-prints of sheep. These form the core of Enclosure, a reflection of Goldsworthy’s lifelong interest in the land and its history.
