Lights Out is When the Fun Begins at the Walker Art Center's November Free First Saturday

Grab your flashlights and prepare for a day of family fun at Lights Out!, the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event from 10 am–5 pm Saturday, November 4. Featured events include a performance by Circus Minimus Puppetry, who will present a glow-in-the-dark ping pong ball circus; a disco party in the McGuire Theater; a gallery crawl exploring mysterious works in the Walker’s collection; a series of short films about wolves; an art-making activity led by artists Helen Stringfellow and Lars Jerlach; an art-making activity to create glow-in-the-dark wearable art; and a story reading.

Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Black lights? Check. Disco ball? Got it. Dancers? Hey, kids! We need you to come over to the McGuire Theater to get the party started. Disco duds encouraged.

Film: Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?, 10:30 and 11:30 am

Lecture Room
You certainly won’t be afraid after you see these unexpectedly sweet and funny animated shorts, starring a whole new generation of wolves: Woolly Wolf and Woolly Town – Woolly Head by Vera Neubauer.

Performance: The Amazing Gnip Gnop Circus, 11 am
