December Public Tours at the Walker Art Center Offer Look at the Latest Exhibition, Body Politics: Figurative Prints and Drawings from Schiele to de Kooning

December tours at the Walker Art Center include a look at the new exhibition Body Politics: Figurative Prints and Drawings from Schiele to de Kooning, opening on Thursday, December 14 at 5 pm, featuring works from public and private collections which show the human form in images taken from the first half of the 20th century. Tours are also available for Eva Hesse Drawing (through February 18), featuring 150 works by one of the most influential artists of the postwar era, and Heart of Darkness (through January 14), which explores the promise and peril of darkness, both as artistic strategy and as metaphor. On Saturday, December 2, as part of the Walker’s Free First Saturday, patrons can take part in a sketch adventure in the Eva Hesse Drawing galleries. Also offered in December are tours of the Walker’s ongoing exhibitions and recently expanded facility, and Spotlight Gallery Talks led by Walker curators and tour guides highlighting selected artworks or artists in the galleries.

Gallery admission is $8 adults; $6 seniors (65+), $5 student/teen (with ID), and free to Walker members and children 12 and under. Admission is free with a ticket to a same-day Walker event, $4 with a ticket stub up to six days after an event. Gallery admission is free to all every Thursday evening from 5–9 pm and on the first Saturday of each month.
