Bloom: Virtual Teen Takeover at the Walker this Spring
Join the Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council (WACTAC) for Teen Takeover: Bloom, a virtual evening of live music, games, and giveaways, curated by teens and for teens only. Highlights include a virtual exhibition, Jeopardy, great conversations, and the chance to meet new people and blow off steam. This event includes featured live performances from Gully Boys and Human Error. Teens can also sign up to be in the virtual talent show. “We want to open this space to all teens, and give them the space to share. Maybe someone who has never shared before, will get a lot of love back, and be motivated to continue creating. It’s all radical acceptance and encouragement here,” a WACTAC Member said. Registration is required for this Zoom event. Open to high school students and teens only. Teen Takeover: Bloom
ABOUT WACTAC The Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council (WACTAC) is a teen-led group of creators/advocates from all over the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The group meets regularly to learn about working at an art center, connect with contemporary art and artists, and create new ways for the Twin Cities teen community to experience the Walker. WACTAC meets from September–June and is open to 10th–12th graders, and members are paid! This year, weekly WACTAC meetings will be hosted online and our teen programs will be in virtual formats. WACTAC applications open each May for the following school year. A link to the application will be posted here and on the Instagram page @walkerteens.
