Make the Walker the destination for your next family outing. Admission is free for kids 18 and under. Pick up a Family Activity Guide or sketchpad at the front desk, or join one of our family-friendly programs.
Family Programs
First Free Saturday
Explore the galleries for free, make art, and watch kid-friendly short films on the first Saturday of every month. Admission is free from 10 am to 5 pm, with activities until 3 pm.
Sensory Friendly Sundays
Kids, teens, and adults with sensory processing differences and their families are invited to explore the galleries in a calm environment on the second Sunday morning of the month.
Friday Art-Making in the Garden
Visit the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on Fridays throughout the summer for drop-in art-making activities designed for ages 4 and up. All materials will be provided.

Before Your Visit

During Your Visit
- Check in: The Main Lobby desk offers multilingual family guides, sketchbooks, fidget toys, and more.
- Join a tour: Free public tours are available throughout the week.
- Ask questions: What do they see? Favorite artwork? Play a game of I Spy, or pose like the art.
- Take breaks: Explore the galleries at your own pace.
- Please keep children with you at all times.
