Volunteering at the Walker is a fun, flexible way to share your time and be a vital part of presenting contemporary art.
Our committed volunteers are individuals who bring a wide variety of personal and professional experiences and interests to the Walker Art Center. Our diverse team of volunteers have a shared enthusiasm for our mission and our multi-discipline programming. Volunteers find the Walker a stimulating environment where they make a positive contribution to an organization they care about.
How to apply
All volunteer shifts for the Walker are scheduled through the Shiftboard platform. To begin as a new volunteer, please apply via Shiftboard.
At the Walker, we are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for everyone, including staff, visitors, and volunteers. All volunteers are required to complete a background check following the submission of their application.
Once your Shiftboard application has been received and your background check has been completed, you will receive an email outlining the next steps for volunteering.
