How does the New York Times Magazine come up with its iconic designs—from covers that depicted Trump as a mylar balloon to online interactive experiments like NYTVR, a virtual reality platform using Google Cardboard? Concluding the 2019 Insights Design Lecture Series, the magazine’s design director, Gail Bichler, discussed working with a team of talented designers and typographers, while collaborating with some of the world’s best creatives, to create this leading publication.
