Dua Saleh: “We All Have a Role in Our Collective Liberation”
"I am an artist, but I don’t identify as an activist. I am simply using my artist platform to boost information and redistribute funds." Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter Dua Saleh recently released "body cast," a single that condemns police brutality and injustice. Discussing their work, Saleh notes that the murder of George Floyd prompted them to donate all sales of the single to Women for Political Change, a nonprofit that invests in the leadership and political power of young women, trans and non-binary individuals throughout Minnesota.
