Chris Schlichting collaborated with visual artist Jennifer Davis, the band Alpha Consumer, and lighting designer Joe Levasseur on Stripe Tease, a monumental interdisciplinary achievement that transformed the McGuire Theater into a site-specific work. In conversation with Philip Bither, McGuire Senior Curator of Performing Arts, the artist shares how he integrated elements of architectural design, abstract choreography, and live music for the world premiere, commissioned by the Walker Art Center.
